Dr. Johnny DeWayne Brown, a native of Chattanooga, Tennessee, obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in biology at Lane College in Jackson, Tennessee. After, in 1996, he continued his education at Life University Chiropractic College.
While attending Life University, Dr. Brown was an active member of the student chapter of the American Black Chiropractic Association (SABCA) as well as a student doctor in the Life University Research Department where he performed chiropractic clinical studies on participants diagnosed with ADD/ADHD, HIV, and other numerous conditions. Dr. Justin Cox, who is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, attended Morehead State University where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. While at Morehead State, he was a member of the football team. Upon graduation, he enrolled in Life University where he graduated with a Doctorate of Chiropractic. He specializes in understanding what the client was trying to accomplish, and creating an plan to fit their needs accordingly. He is certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners, and is licensed to practice in the state of Georgia.
Dr. Cox uses a variety of techniques(Diversified, Thompson, Activator, Cox Flexion, Grastin, Spinal Decompression, Cold Laser) along with supplementing stretching and exercise into the rehabilitation approach for all his patients. He is proficient in creating and educating the patient on diverse care plans that are directly related to the patient’s wants or needs. James Sartori was born and raised on the Vermont/Massachusetts border in beautiful Berkshire County. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Valdosta State University, and he completed his graduate-level education at the Medical College of Georgia (MCG) in Augusta where he earned a Master of Medical Science.
While completing his graduate course work at the MCG, he also did clinical rotations in surgery, internal medicine, pediatrics, emergency medicine, psychiatry and rural medicine at Grady Memorial and Georgia Baptist Hospitals in Atlanta; the Carl A. Vinson VA Hospital in Dublin; Athens General and Fort Gordon in Augusta. He completed his internship at Fulton County Jail where he subsequently took a position supervising the medical department for several years.
Mr. Sartori is licensed by the state of Georgia, and he has experience in all aspects of adult medicine including pain management, orthopedic and soft tissue injury, sports injuries and physical rehabilitation. Furthermore, he completes approximately 50 hours of continuing medical education annually.
Before arriving at Sparlin, Mr. Sartori practiced internal medicine and minor surgery with what is now Piedmont Physicians Group in Buckhead and College Park. He has been an integral part of the medical department at Sparlin Health Care since 2001.
